@blog #epistemology #Wiktionary "The term was introduced into #English by #Scottish philosopher James Frederick #Ferrier ." the fundamental weakness and tragedy of the LLM is its inability to emulate #abductive reasoning well if at all. that is reasoning to the best expectation. regardless, they aid the brute forcing of #INFOSEC #vulnerabilities but at great #computational cost. TL;DR humans are better at defensive INFOSEC than "AI" but this is the answer no-one wants to hear right now.

#FunFact : Kokolores – mögliche Herkunft des Wortes
»[…] Berliner Szene um 1930, in der #Kokain konsumiert wurde […] #Logorrhö (verstärkter Redefluss von Unsinnigem, ohne aufzuhören) so wurde dieses Phänomen als #Kokolores bezeichnet.«

#fediverse #bot #idea: Take a #random #word from #Wiktionary's Category:Russian terms suffixed with -ский but in the #Latin #transliteration replace the #kij (or #кий) in #ский (#skij) with #key, as if a new #Misskey #forkey #fork has just dropped to compete with #Sharkey :sagume_think:
So "ааро́новский" becomes "aarónovskey" for example :chuckling_okuu:

Yesterday, four new projects graduated from the #WikimediaIncubator:
* #Assamese #Wikiquote
* #Gungbe #Wikiquote
* #Shan #Wikibooks
* #Gorontalo #WiktionaryThe Shan Wikibooks is the first new Wikibooks language since 2017 (and only the third since 2006!).
The Gungbe Wikiquote is the third new Wikimedia project in Gungbe in less than a year, following last year's #Wikipedia and Wiktionary!
Congrats to all the hard-working contributors to these new Wikimedia projects!

Recently I realised that 'bikkje', a #Norwegian word for a dog, is probably related to 'bitch'.
And yes, sure enough, #Wiktionary notes that while the word is currently used for any kind of dog, it used to be used just for female dogs, and is a cognate of #bitch.#TheMoreYouKnow #TodayILearned #TodayILearnt #TIL #bikkje #norsk #etymology #linguistics #language

@bitwarden I'll use strong passwords until #Bitwarden and #KeypassXC take a checkbox list of custom dictionaries as input for their #passphrase generators.
This list containing international wiktionaries would be great.

@kiilas
regarding the #Dutch word #snor, #wiktionary has the following to say:
«Shortened from 'snorbaard', a borrowing from Low German 'snurbaard'. Compare German Low German 'Snurrbaart', Saterland Frisian 'Snurboart', West Frisian 'snor', German 'Schnurrbart'.»
I never realised it was a shortened form, but I guess that makes sense.Still, the Norwegian word 'bart' meaning a moustache rather than a beard, still throws me off.
