  1. Many of the Wikipedia Library's resources are currently unavailable. I use them often and tend to take them for granted. But they are not.

  5. Call for #wikipedians using The #WikipediaLibrary : have you ever found a source in the #InternetArchiveBooks you can't use or read simply because you have not a complete access to all pages? I'm having this experience today, it's annoying. WHY we as volunteers still not have full access to these resources of @internetarchive ? BECAUSE there is a suggestion to include it in the list of partners still not approuved. If you care about such a relevant partner, please support the suggestion.

  10. Still have mixed feeling about #WikipediaLibrary. It enables me accessing paywalled journals/books legally. But does it discourage people to use more open access resources?

Anyway as long as the end products (wikipedia articles etc) is open and free it's still a win I guess.

  12. @theresnotime I use Oxford Art Online to add references to #wikidata :wikidata: a lot. Also JSTOR and various journals. #WikipediaLibrary rocks.

  13. It turns out they were the twins Miss Bessie Donovan wikidata.org/wiki/Q122346973 & Mrs Grace Ellen Lucas wikidata.org/wiki/Q122348827. I found information on them in JSTOR (access provided by the Wikipedia Library) as well as via a search of the Biodiversity Heritage Library. #BHL #WikipediaLibrary #Wikidata

  14. @thisismyglasgow Down the rabbit hole from West George St! Your photo and text on #verdigris led me off into fascinating articles on "Verdigris and the Entrepreneuse" about the women-organised industry and international trade based in 18th century Montpellier. ( Access thanks to #wikipedialibrary )

Your photo and text on #verdigris led me off into fascinating articles on "Verdigris and the Entrepreneuse" about the women-organised industry and international trade based in 18th century Montpellier. They doused copper strips in strong red wine, left to ferment, then the crystals were scraped off and pulverised. ( Journal access thanks to #wikipedialibrary , always a useful resource )

  22. @JakeOrlowitz hi Jake, thanks for following. I am quite interested to learn about about #WikipediaLibrary & related. It is new to me, but right up my alley, as I formerly worked in scholarly/professional publishing, am librarian by study and former work and inclination, run #HousingWiki, and constantly access or try to access paywalled sources. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipe
