I only watched 7 minutes of "The Tunnel" (a French-UK production) and knew it had to be a remake of The Bridge (a Swedish-Danish production), which I enjoyed a lot.

I didn't like the US remake, it felt like entirely different characters, and the characters (thanks to good actors) were what I loved in the original.

But I'll give this one a go. Has anyone seen it?

I just rewatched #BabylonFive, & I notice some common themes with N. K. Jemisin's award winning Broken Earth trilogy (which I'm also re-reading). Chosen family, how cultures & religions form & propagate, engineering humans as weapons, war & peace, kindness, racism, addiction, love.

Both of these are complex, worth a revisit ... & both feel different now than before - in this crazy timeline we're in.

Worth the re-visit!

Watching Watson (the one with actor Morris Chestnut) and look who shows up: Karen Robinson.

She's a great character actor, seems able to commit to the weirdest roles and make us love or hate them (or both).

I could watch her all day!
(She does steal the scenes, tho, 🤭).

Watching Project Hail Mary.

I see why they chose Ryan Gosling - great at physical comedy, dance, and acting emotions non-verbally. And his Everyman look.

I'm also loving to hate Sandra Hüller, also apparently a skilled comic.

Plus: Space!

It's delightful (and gently horrific) so far.

The documentary "The Darkest Web" is one of the most chilling real crime documentaries I have watched to date. It follows investigator Greg Squire of Portland, who hunts criminals on the dark web in collaboration with a team of international experts.

The documentary focuses on three heart breaking cases of child abuse, where the offenders do everything to cover their tracks… until they make one mistake.

Scary, breathtaking, and very, very important.

In Reef, a 2026 film with Keanu Reeves, a Hollywood child star, now grown up and the darling of media and fans, takes stock and makes amends to those who matter to him. It's lovely.

It's the last thing I'll watch on Apple TV for a while ... I cancelled my subscription, today shoukd be the last day. Going out on this warm-hearted note feels good.

We've been watching the ITV series 'A Taste For Murder' on ITVx.
It's not a series that's ever going to set the ratings on fire, but it's a pleasant enough watch - with a bit of cooking thrown in for you to follow along to.
It's a kind of Midsomer Murders in Italy (with a souçon of darkness).
We quite like it.
