In 2019 @WestGateTunnel was asked by a member of the public if the Footscray Rd intersection that killed Angus was safe, WGTP responded by saying that warning signs alone are sufficient to get truck drivers to give way to riders & pedestrians on the shared path.
After Angus' death, WGTP have sent two lollypop people to protect the intersection. Unfortunately, they're not stopping/slowing left hand turn trucks, as that "would be too dangerous". Instead, they're asking cyclists to slow down.
