1.56 miles, 402 feet elevation gain, 103 ft elevation loss, max slope 23.6%. That's a H I K E for most people in LA. I mean, I'd do it, but I am a hiker/biker and fit. (If you live in Boston, you can probably do it too LOL, that is a walking town). But the number of people here who would 1.56 miles uphill to a sports event (and then another back, i.e 3 miles) seems to me to be a small number. But maybe I am just pessimistic? #dodgers #pedestrians #walkinginLA

@davidzipper . So like a seat belt for the car? With the increase in car crashes and pedestrian fatalities, I think this would be amazing. It would also be good for the environment.

@darwinwoodka. Bravo on the 2 week respite from driving. And same about trying to drive less! L.A. can be hard but I am very luck to live in a neighborhood within walking distance to the #Metro, and I can also walk to school (a 3 mile hike, which I enjoy).

I love that Mar Vista is a very walkable part of town. However, that walkability score needs a disclaimer that in your average 1.5 mile walk, there will be 3 near-misses due to people neglecting to look through the transparent, forward-facing portion of their motorized vehicles while navigating. #walkingInLA #WarOnCars
