I keep seeing posts of people asking for #VPNs that don't steal their data and support fascism, and I think asking for VPNs is the wrong avenue at this point. We need a different solution.

Please.. A VPN does not offer you security unless you own both endpoints and probably does not offer you #privacy even if you do.
#VPNs have very specific uses for very specific users and you probably don't meet the requirements.
