Believe it or not, these Japanese TTS programs are pretty useful for listening practice, and surprisingly accurate due to advancements in TTS. Since there is a sale on them, it may be worth sharing my thoughts on which one is the best for those who need more listening practice or want to create content, in Japanese. Also, voice banks from well known Seiyuus as well.

The Glitch Gremlin got to Sakurajima's server... in a nutshell.
While Redis is only used for caching the user's home timeline and statistics (active users, interactions, and sidekiq stats) on Mastodon, maybe it's a good idea to start backing that up daily. It's sad to see the Active User count drop because Redis decides to malfunction. Since then, the home timelines were rebuilt.
Don't worry, the important data (which is in the Postgres server), is safe. Redis cache can always be rebuilt, excluding server statistics.
Here is a skit I made describing what happened this morning.
そら：あららら、なんでマストドンサーバーのCPU使用率は可成り高いですわね。
そら：昨日の朝から、CPU使用率も可成り高いみたいですわ。
そら：どうすればいいかしら。
六花：あれ。あたしはトゥートを投稿できない。「アップロードした動画のサムネイルを作れない」と言うこのエーラメッセージを現れた。
六花：そらちゃん、なんでビデオと含んでいるトゥートを投稿できないの？
そら：あらら。マストドンサーバーを検査しましょう。
そら：ビデオと含んでいるトゥートをできませんでしたわ。
そら：サーバーを再起動した方がいいですわ。
そら：六花ちゃん、私は今ビデオと含んでいるトゥートを投稿できましたわ。
六花：ありがとう、そらちゃん。
そら：あれ、なんでタイムラインは八月下旬からだけトゥートを見えます。
そら：あらら、マストドンの統計は９月上旬から消えちゃいましたね。
そら：どうすばいいかしら。English Translation

I have been playing around with VoicePeak, which is a voice synthesizer (Japanese only, for now), which is based on a similar SynthV speech engine from Dreamtonics Oddly enough, I find VoicePeak having a more realistic voice than Cevio AI, although that is pretty good, mostly for Japanese at least (English is not too bad). AI Voice is, well kind of meh.
This might be useful in creating audio for listening comprehension. Here is a sample with a transcript.

AHS-Soft made available a free beta of Koharu Rikka for #Voicepeak (if you already own #SynthV Koharu Rikka). I've been playing around with it. It's better than your usual TTS. It took me a while to change the interface language to English, LOL.
I was thinking of using it for some introductions to songs sung by Rikka.
What I would REALLY REALLY love is if they would release English voicebanks for Voicepeak.
OR, implement cross-lingual synthesis for it like in SynthV.
