Ik krijg net deze foto van eerder op de dag gestuurd. De lammergier was eerst in de Hunze en niet in een boom maar op de rand van een schuurtje. Tjonge!

En zo sta je opeens naar een lammergier te kijken die in een boom zit!

Waiting to start for the midwinter-waterbird counting. This is done today in Europe, Asia and America, I have been told. Last year we had some ice, today we have fog. Just wait a bit longer for a clearer sight. Enjoy your day ❤️🦆

Today I did a bird-count for Sovon project Liveatlas, the Netherlands is divided into square kilometers. The thing is to count every bird (and other wild animals) during 1 hour. Data is used for science and trends. A great way of birding and being outside!
Is this method used in other countries as well?

Bij het #bosrondjehondje vanochtend sprak ik een man met een verrekijker aan en vroeg waar hij naar keek. Hij wees me op een ieniemienie vogeltje (kleiner dan een winterkoninkje) met een fel oranje kruinstreepje: het #vuurgoudhaantje. Nooit eerder gezien (maar wel vaker gehoord 🎶). Prachtig beestje. (foto is van het internet geplukt).
