I have finished todays work and have two news -- one good and second not so good. The good new is that the wooden struts + pipe tips works with #ZipTieDome hubs and now we have second dome (wooden: 6m and pipe: 10m diameter) + experience. But bad news is that the dome, unfortionately, didn't fit in the upcoming studio room :aaaa: ..but anyhow, thats not a deal breaker. Yesterday i understood that i can't proceed to build the dome the way i was doing it.. I understood that I should do the other way around (was quite angry to my self). I deconstructed what i have build already. I screwed all the pipe tips to the wooden struts, so the struts dont slip out. Now will start to build the dome once again.. will connect the #ZipTieDome hubs the correct way. Hope all will work out. 💅 #ambisonics #immersiveaudio #dirtydealaudio #riga #viskaļi

Yesterday night I started to cut pipe pieces and to drill holes, and partly constructed first two dome rings. All was good till one point.. as the wooden struts are not permanently attached to the pipe pieces, they started to slip out and dome wasn't keeping together. I didnt predict it. Now i need to screw the pipe pieces to the wooden struts and continue to construct. Hope no more surprises. #ambisonics #immersiveaudio #dirtydealaudio #riga #viskaļi

Good news. Yesterday had a second meeting with #FreeRiga Mārcis and yes, after the #Vagonuhall pop-up residency, we are moving in to #Viskaļi ..the plan is to create a permament ambisonics studio / residency / DDA office. FreeRiga is giving us a very good deal and are wiling to support our iniciative. We will permamently build 6m diameter dome there and put our 21speker set up.
