I like to think we won, given we started behind a lot of expensive and faster oldtimers, but by end of stage 2 we were the lead car 😂

So we did great in the rally and it was a lot of fun! Tyres worn out, had planned to change on Wednesday.
We've been touring Scotland, currently on the Isle of #skye, but now got issues.
Broke the engine stabilizer bolt a few days ago, and today catastrophic radiator failure.
Luckily only a few kilometres from our hotel, free wheeled most of the way back down with engine off.
Aperoli was picked up by ADAC 😢
If we can get a new radiator we keep going!

We're off road tripping for a few weeks.
Everything seems to be working... mostly.

New switch panel for the rally electrics in the #classicmini
Not old school, but cheap and cheerful.
Had a lot of hassle getting this bugger to work, but seems everything is hooked up and comes on when it should now.
Leaving noon on Friday so only another day left 😬

So I got new headlamps.
I discovered the ones in there are the type from 70's but with h4 bulbs glued in 😬
Fitted the led bulbs that were in the VW bus when we bought it... Looks very bright!

Installed a new steering wheel in the #classicmini and added an arcade machine style button to reset the rally computer's counter.
Working on the auxiliary electrics at the moment... new switch panel being test fitted at the moment and wired up.
Also rehung the exhaust on new orange hangers, it's been scrapping on the speed bumps 😬
