In this case, the #Vedala appeared in ‘The Jihad’ many episodes ahead of the Kzinti’s appearance in ‘The Slaver Weapon.’
It seems we can attribute the hunched Kzinti to their lemur-like Vedala animated predecessors out-of-universe.
In-universe, my headcanon is that the #Kzinti (like their #Caitian cousins) were always upright but affected a hunched posture to emulate the Vedala.

The hunched posture was also the norm for another #StarTrekTAS species the Vedala.
In S1E6 the #Vedala are introduced as the ‘oldest space-faring race known to the Federation. They also have cool holographic technology. They are both described as cat-like and lemur-like.
It would be great to see #LowerDecks bring us another encounter with this non-humanoid and ancient species.
