Back from #Atlanta after going to #SFGE and #VCFSE! Tons of fun and lots of very nice people. So much pinball and the arcade was ginormous!
It was a "smidge" (a lot) overwhelming; I know my brain started having shutdown/stimming events, so didn't interact as much as I wanted to and eventually forgot I had a phone and camera with me. Definitely learned a lot about attending cons/events in not-the-Mid-Atlantic.
But overall, very good time and definitely will attend again at some point, especially if it aligns with the dates for PatternCon at some point, since wifey just learned about that this weekend and is super interested.

Off to #VCFSE. I'm skipping work and my son and I are headed over. Should be fun.

For #vcfse I’m digging out the golden oldies. I found a line printer banner program I wrote in FORTRAN (IV as the Maker intended, not that newfangled ‘77 stuff) back in HIGH SCHOOL and am prettying up some of the horrific code to run it on an 80s era IBM system for the #MidrangeMaddness exhibit. I also found a sign-printing program in RPG-II that I think I must have written but I don’t remember writing it, and I don’t remember learning RPG-II at all, matter of fact I have always said I never learned it even given the opportunity. Isn’t that a symptom of some forms of PTSD?
