Ok, day 1 of #vcfb2023 is over for me. It was phenomenal, I met many amazing people and learned lots of new things.
Favourite new piece of knowledge: at one point, the Whirlwind graphic supercomputer of the 50s occupied 2500 sq.ft. over several rooms. -

@stdevel the Blades run Debian Linux (I think 7 or 8). The older devices run OpenBSD. The Ultra 5 had also Debian Linux before it died ... But of course it doesn't make much fun, running current operating systems on ancient hardware... So I will have a look what treasures they have at the #vcfb2023 next saturday ... Running old Hardware with old software makes a little sentimental 🤣
