Monday dawns dreary with a 90% probability of dismal.DW went to the show last night to hear #VASymphony play #orchestralmusic from the Harry Potter movies. Everybody knows John WIllams’ opening theme — those bells. But there is way more and 3 composers were credited. #music #liveshow #HarryPotter
There was hardly any blue hair in the audience. Very young parents with children and teens.

Staff was just shopping for #VAFest concert tickets. No Bluegrass or rock acts this year. Bela Fleck is coming with friends and Chris Thile and Victor Wooten have new works for the #VASymphony to play. Have been teasing symphony folk about Chris use of 15/4 time (says Pickles Noam Pikelny)
Last year Aoife O’Donnovan, Kitchen Dwellers, and Cowboy Junkies played the tent. Rare to have pops artists.
