Seymour: "I think she's had a political career as near to perfect as humanly possible."
The word "humanly" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence.

Dear God,
It must be awful to be Brooke van Velden.
Having no soul frees her from the twin weaknesses of empathy and compassion which afflict ordinary people.
Having no conscience allows her to undermine laws designed to save lives with a blind determination bordering on performative cruelty.
May her excess bile overflow internally resulting in permanent and debilitating diarrhoea.
Lord, this is my prayer.

Brooke van Velden seems to be craving news coverage, so she's announced that she will have five announcements to make this week regarding the health and safety sector.
That's where it fell flat. Lloyd Burr puts it well.
"Announcing consultation is not an announcement. It’s an announcement of an announcement you hope to make later in the year once you know what it is you’re announcing."
Will Brooke's four other H&S announcements be equally exciting? Be still, my beating heart.

Act is at it again. NZ's 'Workplace Relations and Safety Minister' Brooke van Velden reckons Worksafe plays it too safe. But she intends to fix that by directing the department to change their attitude and reduce the silly concentration on er... safety.
Coincidentally the proposed legislation will take companies out of the firing line for industrial accidents and push the burden onto employees. Pure Atlas Network.
Oh, and there's some distraction about 'too many road cones' to keep the media occupied.

If you haven't read Andrea Vance's piece -- "The girl-math budget that will cut deep, especially for women" -- please do. It hits hard.

Luxon was happy to appoint new MP Brooke Van Velden as "Minister for Workplace Relations & Safety" - the worst portfolio you could give to an Atlas Network player.
Her job involves speaking with unions, but she's shunning real unions for a couple of fake ones: the Taxpayers non-union & "NZ Unions", a fake group with ties to anti-vaxxers & Red Unions in Oz.
The libertarian 8% party is over-represented within the cooker coalition.

Council of Trade Unions general secretary Dennis Maga on Brooke van Valden's new role.
""Putting an extreme libertarian ACT minister in charge of Workplace Relations and Safety is like putting a vampire in charge of the country's emergency blood supply."

CW: NZPol - Brooke van Velden caught lying
Parliamentary Commissioner and former National MP Simon Upton says van Velden was "incorrect and misleading" when she said on TVNZ's Breakfast show that the commissioner has concluded the ban on offshore exploration for oil and gas would likely "increase global emissions".
"I most definitely did not say that the ban would increase global emissions."
Three more years of this! Meh!
