It's hard to tell if numerous coalition MPs really have fallen for the AI hype, or whether they're using "AI" as a cynical excuse to dodge accountability and ignore evidence.
Does Seymour really believe that stochastic parrots fed on their own error-filled excrement will magically halve budgets? Perhaps he envisions his own version of DOGE with him playing the part of Musk.

In response to #RNZ publishing random reckons I thought this particular reckon deserved a complimentary counter reckon.
Here’s my reckon.
#NZPol PM Luxon is undeniably incompetent but if he is proven to be foolishly arrogant enough to ignore 90+% of the NZ public and pursue this unconstitutional and anti democratic #AtlasNetwork backdoor assault on NZ democracy and sovereignty then he and the National Party will suffer a backlash so severe he will be wishing he was still working as a simple deodorant salesman.
Unlike Luxon, imo, Winston Peters is neither naive or silly enough not to take advantage of this opportunity to poach a large proportional slice of the National and Act voter base and potentially force a snap election.
In conclusion, having watched much of the 30 hours of oral submissions on the #RSB I am honestly surprised by just how little media attention the devastating demolition of Act and in particular #DavidSeymour the Finance and Expenditure Committe has received.
Perhaps the #NZInitiative aka Atlas Network have threatened media with local advertising boycotts? After all the Act Party and its supporters did threaten and dox an active opponent to this legislation, lawyer Tania Waikato, to the extent she required a security escort when attending NZ Parliament to make her oral submission. These are not nice people, they are white collar criminals who operate like the mob.
Meanwhile NZ media suffers a growing distrust in its reporting…. Wonder why?

If anyone watched Jordan Williams of the #AtlasNetwork NZ Tax Payers Union's oral submission on the #RSB, Jordan was asked why is there so much opposition to the RSB, to which the only answer Jordan Williams could offer was "Because it is an ACT bill, it's as simple as that."
In other words they have no counter argument to the near on 90% opposition to this unconstitutional and undemocratic proposed legislation. #NZPol

Te Pāti Māori co-leader Rawiri Waititi says Burkina Faso's leader Ibrahim Traoré is his "modern day hero".
The BBC says Traoré built the "persona of a pan-Africanist leader determined to free his nation from what he regards as the clutches of Western imperialism and neo-colonialism".
The comments naturally triggered Deputy PM and sad racist David Seymour who claims Te Pāti Māori are "a threat to democracy" and that Waititi's views are "insane".
If there's one thing Whitey Seymour and his Atlas Network affiliated backers hate, it's uppity brown people getting above their station.

Act is at it again. NZ's 'Workplace Relations and Safety Minister' Brooke van Velden reckons Worksafe plays it too safe. But she intends to fix that by directing the department to change their attitude and reduce the silly concentration on er... safety.
Coincidentally the proposed legislation will take companies out of the firing line for industrial accidents and push the burden onto employees. Pure Atlas Network.

Wichtige Hintergrundrecherche zum globalen fossilen #Lobbyismus des #AtlasNetwork in den letzten Jahrzehnten. Frank #Schäffler, MdB der #FDP und mit seinem #Prometheus-Institut Teil des Altas-Netzwerks, ist mittlerweile bekannt geworden durch seine groteske Angstmacherei vor dem #Gebäudeenergiegesetz ("Atombombe") sowie durch seine Verleumdung der @AufstandLastGen als kriminelle und tendenziell terroristische Vereinigung, als die sie später von der Münchener Staatsanwaltschaft und der Polizei tatsächlich behandelt wurde.
"Almost as soon as Last Generation began staging protests, in early 2022, Schffler began describing them as terrorists, calling the group a 'criminal organization' and publicly demanding it be investigated for organized crime. Media outlets, including conservative publisher Welt and the more mainstream Der @spiegel soon echoed Schäffler s framing. Just six months later, in May 2023, German police conducted nationwide raids on Last Generation activists; police said the group was 'a criminal organization that was fundraising for the purpose of committing further criminal action.' It was almost exactly the response to Last Generation that Schäffler had recommended."
Dies ist nur die Spitze des Eisbergs der Machenschaften des weltweiten Atlas-Netzwerks und seiner über 500 Think Tanks, das seinen Ursprung in den frühen 1950ern in Großbritannien hat und wesentlich von marktradikalen Milliardären und der fossilen Industrie finanziert wird. Es hat u.a. in England Margaret #Thatcher und in Brasilien Jair #Bolsonaro zur Macht verholfen. Heute verleumden seine Mitglieder weltweit Klima- und Umweltaktivist:innen und schreiben teilweise Gesetzesentwürfe für deren Kriminalisierung, wie in Großbritannien und den USA, wo sie dann auch umgesetzt wurden:
"U.K.-based Atlas member think tank Policy Exchange, meanwhile, put out a report in 2019 describing @ExtinctionR, an organization famous for shutting down parts of London to call for aggressive climate action, as an extremist organization seeking the breakdown of liberal democracy and the rule of law. As happened in Germany, several U.K. politicians and conservative media outlets have since repeated that framing. It wasn t long before people began cold-cocking Extinction Rebellion activists as they blocked roads or staged other forms of nonviolent, disruptive protest. Four years later, during a speech at Policy Exchange s annual summer garden party in 2023, U.K. Prime Minister Rishi #Sunak thanked Policy Exchange members for 'helping us draft legislation' that significantly criminalized various forms of protest, increased police power, and created the criminal offense of 'willful obstruction of the highway' to curb protests that block roads."
