WTF IS A MOO? it's a multiplayer text adventure! think zork with other people, but with more focus on socializing and building stuff and less on killing monsters or whatever

if you're chill i can give you permissions so you can make cool stuff and help the place grow! i hope bringing it back will give me the opportunity to continue learning more python

the current thing getting in the way of bringing back #vantaMOO is i can't figure out how to get the database off the old server and onto the new one

0x0.st blocks the server's user agent, and scp and rsync both give me "permission denied: publickey" even tho i'm able to ssh into the server with the same keys perfectly fine

it's such a small file

it should not be THIS hard to copy a small file from one place to another

BIG VANTAMOO UPDATE

we've fixed a lotta bugs with the rpsystem

the BIGGEST being the whole speaking bug that was like "vantablack says, "/Me says, "hi""" when you'd try to do "say hi"

ALSO names are no longer auto-capitalized in chat either

for the moment new people still show up as "A normal person" until they've read the rules and realized they need to do a certain command to set their name

but we're workin on it, and for now it's useful to keep an eye on potential rulebreakers
