Today a hike in the mountains above #ValleVigezzo 🇮🇹 in #Piemonte. Still quite some snow up here at 1,300 metres a.s.l. this time of the year. And there’s always a #Vigezzina narrow gauge train close by, taking me from, and to, #Domodossola. A 1950s ABe8/8 with opening windows is working today’s afternoon local.

Pictures taken at the #SSIF workshops in #Domodossola 🇮🇹 in January 2013: two #ValleVigezzo #Centovalli ABDe4/4 units, built in 1923 - 100 years ago. (Their car bodies had since been modernised though.) They had last been used for working museum specials (#17) or track maintenance.
