  1. Just a quick #EtshV6ShProject ( aka #v6shell ) FYI if I may...

    *.etsh.nl & etsh.nl now redirect to *.etsh.dev & etsh.dev, with the following exceptions ... Both serenity.etsh.nl & serenity.etsh.dev redirect to serenity.openbsd.amsterdam ..

    =^) This project is & has been hosted on OpenBSD Amsterdam ( @OpenBSDAms ) for a good long while now (^=

    I am still working on the next release (hopefully before September). If I were more than 1 person with more than no time, it would have already seen the light of day. But you know... Such is life! :flan_smile:

    .

  2. For no reason in particular, I began to clean up the #v6shell source tree so I can release an #etsh (#v6sh) snapshot soon; etsh-current #28 it'll be. It's been too long, and there are many changes.

  3. Been having a bit of #etsh (#v6shell) scripting fun via #Termux =^) no worries about `l ($l)' in the set list output; it's simply another machine on my local private lan ( ! ethernet not wifi ! ) (^=

  4. #etsh #v6shell : Used my time effectively & got into an etsh-current #28 groove over the past few days. Fun w/ the #nvi text editor & no context highlighting. Green on not quite black everywhere, as always! =^)

  5. I added a dir on the Etsh (V6Sh) website where I will put some of the cvs commits I make to the project along the way .. pev.diff is the 1st one ...

    etsh.nl/src/current/cvs_commit

    .

    #etsh #v6shell :flan_hacker: :flan_smile:

  6. My #v6shell VM at @OpenBSDAms will go offline for [U]pgrade now. Consequently, the #etsh website will be offline too. We'll be back within an hour or so. #OpenBSD

  7. Not perfect yet, but perfection is not the aim; improvement is fine with me =^)

    Just committed a big #cvs diff, all 6 of the #etsh manuals. Mission accomplished for now. New snapshot on Tuesday. #v6shell

  8. Anonymous CVS (#anoncvs) - etsh.nl/doc/anoncvs.html is functional again. See the linked page for an intro/example of how to checkout the etsh-current (#v6shell) source tree. (#etsh via #cvs)

  9. ... #etsh #v6shell ( since I forgot to add them to the first toot =) ) ...

  10. I installed/updated the installed #OpenBSD ports etsh-5.4.0v0 package (the binary build of #etsh #v6shell) via ``pkg_add'' this morning!

    Shiny !! OBSD-6.5 impending update + my happy little shell critters too =)

  11. FYI: The shells/etsh port in the #OpenBSD Ports and Packages Collection was updated today thanks to bcallah@. #etsh #v6shell

  12. So today, the 28th (what would have been / was / is my mom's birthday) .. #etsh #v6shell .. etsh-5.4.0 has been released ! =) download the relevant files from etsh.nl/src/etsh_5.4.0/ (= !

  13. Working on the snapshot as I write this... Of course, the 15th became the 16th and now the 17th (UTC) [1].. I'll upload it to the #etsh (#v6shell) website in the morning. :)

    1. =^) On the bright, 16 is a beautiful number to me! (^=

  14. There's a new etsh-current snapshot available .. See etsh.nl/src/current/ for information & downloads . #etsh #v6shell

  15. #v6shell - changed/added a new url for the #etsh project's website .. It's in my profile & lives @ etsh.nl/ .. .NL since it's hosted via my @OpenBSDAms VM =^)

  16. Well, considering that tomorrow starts in < 10 minutes, if flying by UTC... I'm gonna delay my etsh-current snapshot until Saturday the 24th instead!! #etsh #v6shell

  17. Making some etsh project changes, resulting in release 5.3.2 or 5.4.0 depending on what exactly changes, just clarity changes for the most part. #etsh #v6shell

    There's no definitive release date or anything like that .. Sometime before the end of 2018 though ...

    ( ?I'm guessing a CW isn't required for this toot? )

  18. #etsh (#v6shell) - I've released etsh-5.3.1; see etsh.io/src/ for downloads & info. I've not updated the manuals on the website yet but will of course. #opensource #UNIX #cli, the original.

  19. Curious, does anyone know when #OpenBSD ports lock will be on? The reason I ask is because I'm working on etsh-5.3.1, but I think it won't be available until the 24th. #v6shell #etsh

  20. It's too useful having the original V6 #UNIX code & docs both on the website & in the #v6shell repo. I noticed a missing error message & added it to what will become etsh-5.3.1 =^] post execve() failure, errno==ENOMEM, message=="too large".

  21. Almost done updating how the #etsh project manuals (see etsh.io/man/ (html format) .. still need to update if, goto & fd2) are presented... When I am, I'll do the same for those on the etsh.io/history/ page.. #v6shell

  22. =^) etsh-5.3.0 - etsh.io/src/ - is now available (^= and signed with my #OpenBSD #signify key it is ! #v6shell #etsh #ancient #opensource #UNIX #cli ( 2 ports of the original V6 Thompson shell )

    (Install|Updat)able via pkg_add.

  23. #v6shell #etsh .. etsh-5.3.0 is now available .. see etsh.io/src/ for downloads & info .. #OpenSource #UNIX #CommandInterpreter

    ( I still need to update the home page & manuals, but no worries. It'll happen )

  24. =) etsh-5.2.0 - etsh.io/src/ - is now available (= .. signed with my #OpenBSD #signify key it is .. yay ! #v6shell #etsh #ancient #opensource #UNIX #cli ( 2 ports of the original V6 Thompson shell )
