My desktop is KDE Plasma, but I also like to use GNOME apps.

It seams #Microsoft doesn't allow anymore to associate the legacy #notepad c:\Windows\system32\notepad.exe with the .csv file type. Not even after I removed the #AI bloated #UWP version of Notepad from the system.

This is fine.

💩 Meta just killed native WhatsApp on Windows 11, now it opens WebView, uses 1GB RAM all the time

this new #WhatsApp for #Windows crashes permanently for me. I don't know the reason, but given its inconvenience... I wouldn't say it's an absolute disaster (I can use it still), but comparing to the #UWP app it's a nightmare.

User complains "Task Manager autostart settings have no effect on your application"

User checks HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
And both keys, SupportFullTrustStartupTasks and EnableFullTrustStartupTasks, are missing.
Recreates it, and autostart works again.

In fact, everything except "HideFastUserSwitching" and "DisableAutomaticRestartSignOn" were missing.

Ни для кого не секрет, что на смартфонах под управлением операционной системы Android можно клонировать приложения. Иногда этот функционал даже встроен в систему. Один из примеров тому – (не) всеми любимая MIUI, которая, начиная с двенадцатой версии, уже умела создавать дубликаты приложений. Однако если речь идёт о Windows 10/11, то я не встречал решений для клонирования UWP-приложений. Давайте попробуем это исправить!
