Most home offices are just a desk shoved into a bedroom, which kills the psychological boundary between rest and work. We are losing the ritual of leaving the office, and the apartment is becoming a multipurpose box without a soul. I think we need dedicated zoning or separate entrances to stop the home from feeling like a workplace.
And then I'm happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it.
Last week someone dumped a TV on our street. Some kids smashed it up. Then later someone dumped a whole sofa on the street. 🛋️ 📺
I sent a message to the local council to have it removed and they removed it the next day. Yesterday. ✨
Last night, as we all slept, someone has left three dining chairs in the same spot. 😭
Who are these people that think it’s okay just to fly tip and dump their trash on the street?! I have to look at it every time I look out of the window. 😩
Oh, btw, the tree stump shown in the thread above now looks like this... which is a lot better than being used as a trash can 🚯

Today I went to the Pride Parade 🏳️🌈 and before I got to meet my friends, my phone turned itself off and would not turn on.
So I didn't know where anyone was; watched the parade on my own 🙃 and then went to Pride Park 🌈 to see if I could find them.

Took two beers alone, walked around, saw some stuff, chatted to some strangers, then went home. 🫠 🫠 🫠

There was one tree on our street. 🌳
The council cut it down.
All that was left was the stump, which people started to throw their litter in. 🗑
So my daughter and I cleared out the trash 🚯
And then filled it with soil, daffodils, and seeds. 🌼
The daffodils have since died but the seeds have started growing 🌱
It has been a nice little activity for my daughter and I to do. When we leave the house each day, she often wants to see the progress. 👧 🔍
My preferred mode of transport. Its not an expensive bike, but a well loved one. ❤️
Here's my top tip for bike owners (which I do myself); lock your bike with two different locks. If your bike is twice as hard as to steal as the bike next to yours, I think yours might be safe.
