Just got done watching Smokey & The Bandit on Blu-Ray with the family. Lots of questions, including "who did you talk to on your CB radio?" (I did not, as a young child, have a CB radio, dear).
After the last streaming service cancellation, we've taken to just outright buying DVDs or Blu-Rays on the used market, which ends up being at least on par with the one time cost of renting off of Amazon, and a better value if you ever plan on repeat watching. Sure, some Prime movies are free, but you are at the whim of a company as to its availability.
It may seem like waxing nostalgic for the olden days, but it is quite honestly an altogether better experience. If I want the "streaming experience", I can just rip them to my NAS and play them through Jellyfin. I'm a lot less worried about my viewing habits being tracked in this medium.

Ich liebe #unplugged Platten. Hier sieht /hört man, was die Künstler wirklich konnen -
Was mich immer wieder fasziniert, ist Musik unplugged und pur. Auf der Straße zwischen Karstadt und Café oder im Fernsehen, damals bei MTV unplugged. Aber auch gerne auf Vinyl – genießen vom heimischen Sofa aus.
Eric „Slowhand“ Clapton hat in der Corona-Zeit des Lockdowns ein solches Album aufgenommen, und es ist großartig geworden, finde ich.
Wenn ich ihm zuhöre, sehe ich ihn förmlich vor mir sitzen, die Gitarre in den Händen und versunken in seine Musik. Die Stimme ist ja ohnehin einzigartig. Auf dem Album The Lady in the Balcony sind natürlich die großen Klassiker Tears in Heaven oder Layla vertreten, aber auch eine herrlich emotionale Black Magic Woman oder das instrumentale Kerry mit einem faszinierenden Gitarrenspiel. Das Album ist ein echter Hörgenuss, mit einer sehr erholsamen Atmosphäre. Folk, Blues, Country – alles Musikstile, die Eric Clapton in diesem Album zum musikalischen Gegenstück eines guten Whiskys vermischt. Und den genießt der geneigte Zuhörer jetzt auch gerne!
