New record for job applications in Iran:
318,000 job applications were registered in one day, a 50% increase over the previous record (212,000 resumes).
More than one million direct and indirect jobs have been eliminated and about two million people have been unemployed. Internet companies, startups, and the digital economy have reduced their workforce by between 30 and 50%.Women: The number of employed women has decreased by about 233,000, the female unemployment rate has increased from 14.2 to 15 percent, and the female economic participation rate has dropped to its lowest level, 12.2 percent. The economic participation rate of the total population has also decreased from 40.1 to 39.7 percent.
