Tonight I spent some time reverse engineering. I wanted to find out how the #Kramer-MC manages to hide its ROM for CP/M. The main work is done by a DS8286, which isolates the data bus. However, this seems to be implemented very half-heartedly on our unit, as the data bits internal to the bus connector are shorted :) You can find the IC placement in the bottom right corner.
