The Initiative for #OpenCitations = #I4OC https://i4oc.org/ looks like an interesting project for avoiding the megacorporations controlling bibliometry [Onex/Baring Private Equity Asia (the owners of Clarivate/Web of Science/ResearcherID); Elsevier (Scopus); Google Scholar].
A new (3 yr old) "two-way open access" journal publisher using i4oc is SciPost: https://scipost.org/ - it looks very promising.
