If you're facing a #CaptivePortal that's misbehaving (#Marriott in my case) and won't redirect properly, pro tip: open a mobile browser and go to either clients3.google.com or neverssl.com, trigger the portal there, then when you're connected, disconnect and reconnect again so the phone realizes it's connected.
Amusingly you have to do this from @mozilla #Firefox for #Android instead of from Chrome or this wouldn't work. Sometimes Firefox is just better 😉
