  1. Włamywał się do kont kobiet, aby wykradać prywatne zdjęcia. Atak wykorzystywał publiczne sieci WiFi na lotniskach (Australia)

Atakujący wykorzystywał urządzenie WiFi Pineapple: Procedura była dość standardowa / prosta: Urządzenie WiFi Pineapple cały powyższy atak automatyzuje. Policja skonfiskowała sprzęt (telefon, laptop, WiFi Pineapple) na jednym z lotnisk, przeszukała również mieszkanie podejrzanego, gdzie zlokalizowano “tysiące intymnych zdjęć/filmów” oraz przechwycone dane logowania innych osób. Co ciekawe, przestępca próbował zdalnie usunąć...

  2. I thought Switzerland was supposed to be the land of GNU Taler and the last bastion of privacy in Europe, but it's basically Turkey. What in the name of Erdogan?

  3. Can’t connect to public WiFi via Linux

I am using Fedora 42, and I am unable to access the captive portal of inOui TGV. I can connect to the WiFi with no problems, but I can’t get access to the Internet.

    I have tried everything:

    1. Connecting to 192.168.1.1, to http://neverssl.com, to http://wifi.sncf via browser
    2. Running sudo dhclient -r and rebooting the device
    3. Running systemctl restart NetworkManager
    4. Also other stuff I tried in the past with other public WiFis. I am sure there is something wrong with my specific device configuration, it’s not this network.

    Nothing works 😩

Can somebody who understands this stuff help me?

That would go against #BigTech's service to you.

The internet is broken. There's #DNS, #Firefox now sends basically everything to #Google, #Amazon and #Cloudflare. Since 2017 even #GNULinux distros gather data as a "#connectivity" service, just in case you might find yourself using an open WiFi connection, they've named a #CaptivePortal. These are all "services".

How about just #UseTor for #legacyNet?

For your unpermissioned, fully decentralised internet needs there's #I2P?
