I'm just going over some stats of my #travellingWithoutPlan and its costs, and then noticed, despite being kinda expensive, every single night in the hotels was cheaper than 1/30th of our rent in London. #ouch

Ok, I later learned that it was indeed the pub making all the noise. For some strange reason, it sounded like coming from the outside. And more like a rave than a pub night.
Anyway, it stopped at midnight and didn't matter for my sleep as I was reading till 1am anyway. With the car alarm and leaving early, I got about 5 hours of sleep, which is a bit more than expected

Turns out I didn't need to worry about noise from the pub. Any of that is entirely drowned out by the noise from cars with sound systems out on the road

(Well, at a civil time shortly after 8am, but that's basically the earliest I can be asked to get out of bed for) -
Ok, first impression of Shrewsbury: It's a quaint town, you can walk around for an hour or two looking at charming stuff. And then get drunk, bugger off and never look back.
I'll report back if that improves later
