Sunday at #TransPrideMCR is less structured generally. There will be two ongoing drop in workshops, one for zines, one for badge making! Folks are encouraged to bring food if they'd like! and there will be blood tests facilitated by Sapphic Bisons. All ran from 2pm till 7pm!

This weekend is #TransPrideMcr! Unfortunately most of the information is on Instagram or Discord, so I'm repeating it here (and adding alt text). :boosts_ok_gay:

First up, the plan for Saturday 1st August - the march, talks and workshops, and club night.

Tickets are free with the option to donate to help support TPM. Ticket holders will be prioritised but everyone will be welcome if they have spaces left on Saturday!

I'd like to do a little rant for a moment about the FAQ on transpridemcr's website; https://www.transpridemcr.org/about-mcr

Their answer to the question "what's the difference between you and sparkle" is really poorly worded.

I don't speak for either organisation, but I have worked with both; for Trans Pride Mcr as a steward on their march and Sparkle as a key volunteer. We (TPM & Sparkle) even did a protest together at one point, headed up by Sparkle and promoted by TPM. So TPM are aware that Sparkle do engage in protest. But even if they didn't there's been a protest march at the Sparkle Weekend the last couple of years, and its something of a tradition reaching back since before the pandemic.

Also, by discussing pride becoming a "money making scheme" in the answer to this question in particular, there's the implication that Sparkle is also a money making scheme. Nothing could be further from the truth!
