Tonight, a drag bingo event in #tennessee is raising money for my LGBTQ+ non-profit. I'll be registering people to vote, helping people verify their voter registration status, and helping them know where and when to vote... especially given we have been gerrymandered to the nth degree.
Simultaneously, my non profit is helping to rescue a trans teen (18 year old) who just graduated from high school and whose home has not been safe at all. We're moving him to a safe houseand we're getting him connected to resources, buying food and a phone for him, and helping him with getting employment. This is how I have been fighting back for many years. Every single step we make matters.
