#cats will replicate the weirdest things if they think it is normal.

Every morning when I get up I use the bathroom before making #trixiethetorbie breakfast. The last week or so I have notices that when I get up, she goes and sits in her litter box. I only just realized, she thinks going to the bathroom when I wake up is a normal thing and part of our ritual.

I just watched my cat reach daintily into her food dish, scoop a blob of food out, and raise it, cradled in her palm, in front of her nose as though to inspect the offering. She then proceeded to lick all of the wet food off of her paw. Around the pill hidden therein.

Then she extended her paw, in the manner of someone expecting her hand to be kissed. And flicked the pill away with a single gesture.

So that’s going well.

Upon reflection, it was a mistake to use birdsong as an alarm sound on my phone for the last year or so.

Goblin Cat has learned that bird chirps mean it is time for the Morning Screams, whereby mother saves her from the Starves. This was not a problem until the birds began singing at Oh Fuck Hundred Hours, and lo, the household has resounded to the Pathos Aria (scored for smol cat with big lungs).

Here you see the criminal, displaying absolutely no remorse.
