#topping and #SMSL both have $80 DACs that have usb, coaxial, and optical inputs. This means you can connect em to nearly any digital output and will be useful after you upgrade. I think most of these delta sigma DACs sound similar and even the low end ones sound great and detailed. This is all you really need and a big step up from an aux jack. -

I got the #Adcom GDA-600 in the mail. I have to say it’s not as good as my main #DAC, but its either my second favorite or a close third. I would definitely take this over a similarly priced #topping DS DAC that gets crazy ratings from the objectivists at Audio Science Review. I also think it sounds better than the affordable multibit DACs of today.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with it but my initial impressions are favorable. -
