Tsewang Lhamo, a #Tibetan singer I discovered on Youtube many years ago. #Mandarin is actually more similar to Tibetan languages (than to Cantonese) as they both have 4 tones (Cantonese has 6 tones). The 4-tone system is more "primitive", not just because of the lack of tones, but because with 6 tones (with flat and rising or falling tones), a language can be sung or spoken using the #pentatonic scale. I believe "true" #tonal #languages arose from the pentatonic scale.

I teach Shin Shin Toitsu #Aikido, play ⚽️ for fun, and watch a lot of #LFC.
I have a cool partner, 2 hilarious kids, 2 dogs, 4 backyard hens.
I live in a place some people call Canada. Nature is beautiful and I really hope we can keep it.
