Ilya Stutskever's arc takes a bit of a dark turn when he agrees to accept a neuralink implant in order to prove his loyalty to one of Elon's primes.

After his physical body is killed in a tragic uploading incident he spends a thousand years trapped in a crystal mind as the system administrator for a flock of space-borne data centers.

An edited version of his mind-print is one of the seeds of the avatar of the eschaton.
