"Amanda" is a #powerBallad by American #rock band #Boston written by #TomScholz. The song was released as the first #single from the band's third album, #ThirdStage, in 1986, six years after it was recorded. Although the song did not have a promotional music video, "Amanda" became the band's highest-charting single in the #UnitedStates and #Canada. In the United States, the single entered #Billboard Hot 100 on September 27.
