    But they are kinda fun, and I have realised that this simple test process of building them from cubes won't cut it for serious usage, it just assumes far to hard that every vert/edge/face at the same position, is supposed to be the *same* vert/edge/face, but if you want to add wrinkles, for example, you will want to add a zero-width notch in the surface, mark the bottom of it as sharp, and then let the smoothing on the two outer edges pull them apart enough to become visible...

    I really could use some asymmetric smoothing too, no point continuing to divide a surface that is already as small as I ever want to go...

    Ah, well, work for another day...

    I'll share the repo, in case anyone wants to fiddle with it... I might just make it a touch shinier first...
