How odd that it took the estate two entire seasons and a couple of Emmys to notice these "similarities". Please, fuck off. I can't actually believe that Crichton's widow and whoever else would benefit from this are skint, so they're only doing this out of greed and pettiness. An initial version of the show was offered to them by the way, and they passed on it. Then Wyle and co. changed the premise and went ahead without the Crichton estate. And now that the show is successful, they're sueing. I've watched both shows religiously and they have absolutely nothing in common aside from, you know, both being set in an ER. ER was about the relationships, The Pitt is about the trauma and fallout of being ER staff (in a pandemic). ER season classically spanned a year. Each Pitt season is one shift. I don't see the creators of "24" having an issue with this. They even cite "the medical jargon" as a reason. Yes, how unusual for a medical show to have medical jargon. 🤨
I truly truly hate nothing more than greed. This is disgusting. May they all take a long walk off a short pier. And let's hope whatever court this goes to is reasonable.
