I think about these a lot, particularly when I’m on one of my afternoon walks.

I've been bothered by clips I've seen of people who are hollow of empathy playing disruptive pranks, on people just trying to go about their lives, on TikTok.

I found this quote from the Meditations helpful:

"Whenever a person’s lack of shame offends you, you should immediately ask yourself: “So is it possible for there to be no shameless people in the world?” It isn’t, and you should therefore stop demanding the impossible."
