Why is it that folks today don’t revive mid 60’s true blue-eyed soul as often as our forefathers wallowed in it? The Maydays were a short lived Bay-area group featuring fellas who’d done time with everyone from #TheCrawdaddys to #PenelopeHouston's backing band, and this 7" was their lone recorded moment. But the flipside is killer too – I mourn the full-length that never got recorded. They understood the subtler aspects of neo-Edwardian clad, gloriously soulful pop.
