Reading works in #TheatreStudies is so weird! Coming from #GameStudies, I read "play" as a verb that refers to an activity instead of a noun about a piece of writing.

The passage below makes two kinds of sense to me, and I keep forgetting mid-sentence which of them I was going for.

"When we investigate a play, the first (and obvious) thing to do is to define what is in the play, then we can add elements as a reader from own preconception and interpretation through the lens of subjectivity."
