🟠 NEW: #Texas A&M researchers built RoboBall III, a 150 kg inflatable sphere that rolls over rough ground by shifting a pendulum inside its shell.

Because a sphere cannot tip over, the #design may handle the steep, permanently dark #craters near the #Moon’s south pole where frozen #water may hide. A #rover would release it downhill, and the ball would launch collected samples back. The #concept still needs testing against extreme #lunar conditions.
