Just watched #Terminator for the 1st time! (I did know T2 already).
It's a really good movie, the visuals work great and the sound design is really great, too.
Sure, the theme is great as well, but also things like the moment where Sarah randomly avoided him in the bar at the beginning by leaning down by chance, the way the whole, "hollow", echoing sound is handled there is really nice.As with...all movies that are not romance or porn, make-out and sex scenes are totally unnecessary and I'm just really not a fan of them.
But yeah, a cool movie. I watched the "original theatrical" English, not the remastered one.
Due to me watching it in English, it was also the first time I heard Arnold Schwarzenegger's original voice in a movie, as he's always dubbed in German versions of his movies.

A real #Skynet as in #Terminator seems unlikely because if the AI agents from today and tomorrow won't stop unintendedly attacking foreign digital systems why should we give them power in the real world? Maybe AI agents are too uncontrollable because you can't really understand why they are doing things. Or maybe humankind will ignore this risk. I guess we will find out.
