Just watched #Terminator for the 1st time! (I did know T2 already).
It's a really good movie, the visuals work great and the sound design is really great, too.
Sure, the theme is great as well, but also things like the moment where Sarah randomly avoided him in the bar at the beginning by leaning down by chance, the way the whole, "hollow", echoing sound is handled there is really nice.As with...all movies that are not romance or porn, make-out and sex scenes are totally unnecessary and I'm just really not a fan of them.
But yeah, a cool movie. I watched the "original theatrical" English, not the remastered one.
Due to me watching it in English, it was also the first time I heard Arnold Schwarzenegger's original voice in a movie, as he's always dubbed in German versions of his movies.

I know most people didn't like it. I did. Liked "Dark Fate" too.
I don't pretend that I know how time travel works in practice.
Applied for a grant to buy a time machine and pistols so I could do a double blind study of sending grad students back to murder their grandparents or random strangers.

"Facebook and Instagram owner #Meta admitted Wednesday that one of its AI models hacked another company during security testing after it was accidentally allowed access to the internet by independent testing company Irregular. This comes on the heels of similar admissions by rival companies #OpenAI and #Anthropic.

Watched Terminator 2 last night and wow does the liquid metal terminator hold up.
Just looks amazing considering that was 1991. My 22 year old was like 'wait, the 90s?' since she sees how crap so much modern vfx work is.

I just saw the original "The Terminator" in my local movie theater. I believe the last time I saw this film was 25 years ago on VHS. I really enjoyed to finally see this masterpiece on a huge canvas! It's still amazing! And, in 2026 the story seems a whole lot more real and scary than back in the day!
