  1. Shadow of a Doubt (1943) is not, as some claim, film noir but it is one of Hitchcock's best movies. With one of his most interesting and ambiguous protagonists. Joseph Cotten is superb as the man who may or may not be a murderer.

  4. A real oddity, a 1955 TV version of the classic movie Miracle on 34th Street. It is bizarre viewing with the look-alike cast using an edited version of the same script as the movie with a couple of very odd alternate scenes. Thomas Mitchell, Uncle Billy in It's a Wonderful Life, comes across as a very unhinged Kris Kringle who probably should have been locked up. Enjoy!
