I consider this an #IOT milestone. 😝 Bluetooth Beacons, installed high along a hiking trail, high up in the #Tenerifa #Anaga mountain range.

Where does the Island of #Tenerifa get it's power from?

Turns out it's an isolated power grid and just 15y ago it was fully dependant on burning oil imported from Africa by ship. 😱

Since then a big PV plant and lot's of wind parks were built, which during off-times, high wind-speed and lot's of sun, can supply up to 60% of the grids demand. 👏
