It's not a gherkin. Built like an apple corer to extract the City's dark heart, all that selfish greed, yet leave #London's thousand thousand loves, tales and nations, flowing down the Thames.

Never reached the heart, bounced off an impenetrable shield of privilege. So they put offices in, and called it a #gherkin

As I quickly glanced left, for a moment I thought the lit buildings were huge pillars holding the night #sky above me – a highway to… somewhere.

Then I realised that Night's Bridge is by Hyde Park & I was approaching Loughborough Junction, so the moment passed.

Baffling – until they realised the mystical river wardings protecting the airport on three sides had been breached! Worse than the last time too – which had resulted in having to lift the Picadilly line over the River Crane!

Walking home from a Saturday gig, the #foxes seemed in SUCH A RUSH!! 1 through 4 just zoomed on by.

Number 5 though - kept on stopping looking back. 6 & 7 paused, but had somewhere to be. 8 just cherry-knocked one of the houses and scurried away giggling.
