I'm knitting a sweater for my younger brother as a gift. This gift has been in the works now for several years but now it is very close to being done! I just need to knit the turtleneck ribbing, sew the holes in the armpits, bind things off and soak it - then it can finally be handed over.
Sidenote: my brother originally wanted to pay for the yarn but I refused because I didn't want to feel pressure in finishing it in any specific time frame - which was a wise move.
The pattern is Redd Barna Unisex Jumper by Arne&Carlos. The original pattern doesn't have the turtleneck, that is a modification done based on my brother's wishes.

After blocking, I had some gauge issues with my (air dried) sweater. So, I re-wet it, and gave it a trip in the dryer. The fit is now much better in the shoulders!

Here a picture of me wearing my (unblocked) sweater. I’m a tad larger than the mannequin, so I really hope that with some washing the fabric will shorten and widen a bit. That’s what the swatch did, and the numbers in the pattern are based on 😃

This other sleeve now also has some more length. Looking at it, I'm wondering if I should introduce some tapering from round 60 onward, before doing the big decrease just before the cuffs. What do you think? 🤔
