This London Vibes shawl was made by my dear tester StarStrong. Instead of a kid-silk yarn, she chose a light fingering-weight sock yarn in a pale lavender shade. Isn’t it gorgeous?! I absolutely love seeing how different yarn choices can give a design such a unique look 😊

Well, that French yarn I showed you last time in that swatch for the geometric shawl: It inspired me for a new shawl! I worked out the patterning, it will have lace in both stockinette and reverse stockinette 😃

I’ve reached the midway point! I’ve gotten a whopping 24 reps out of it. Technically, I can squeeze out another rep, but I didn’t weigh my yarn before CO, so this is the safest route 😃

In this picture I've knit 20 repeats of the patterning. I think I can probably get another 4 repeats out of it, before I have to start decreasing for the second half of the scarf! 😃

#StashDivesaturday I did some thinking on a new shawl design using this yarn. It's Hearthside Fibers Crystal in "Lake", a 50% Merino, 50% Tencel fingering weight yarn. I have another skein of it in a lovely hazelnut brown color. Stay tuned for more about this new design 😉
