Morning ride through #CuyahogaValleyNationalPark, then up through #BedfordReservation. Stopped off to see the bridal veil falls on Tinkers Creek and it was gorgeous, as per usual.
I'm going to have to add some bags to this bike at some point. One I was on the trail I was really wishing that I had the Nikon instead of my cell phone. I get tired of riding with a backpack though, so I left without anything this morning.

So I ran into one drawback to buying a "new" motorcycle that's left over from a couple years ago. Started getting "check battery" messages on the dash a couple days after bringing the Super Meteor home, then came out of work to a dead battery on Monday. Jumped it and got home, put it on the trickle charger and it took a charge, but not enough amperage to even start the bike. He's dead, Jim.
Don't get me started on the cost of batteries these days. I had just heard from my brother, who spent $400 for a new battery for his truck. Mine was $100, for a TG12, which is one of the smaller capacities you're likely to run into at 12 amp hours. And even though my 3 year warranty just started last week, batteries are not included.
Other than that I have to say I'm loving the bike. These Enfield 650 twins handle through the twisties far better than they have a right to. At least the ones based on this chassis, I haven't had the chance to give a Continental GT or an Interceptor a workout yet. I took a detour on the way back from the store yesterday and got up some of my favorite roads in the area, winding through Lake Rockwell. Instantly put a smile on my face. I can't wait to get her through the break in period so that I can really open her up.

New bike day. I'll be bringing this new 2024 Royal Enfield Super Meteor home this afternoon. I wanted the Classic 650, but we couldn't come to terms on financing. This saves on my monthly payment and cuts a year off the loan, and I've ridden these bikes and loved them.
