    Агора: что случилось за три месяца после прошлой статьи. Разбор комментариев

    В прошлый раз я рассказывал, как в 15 лет с нуля написал российскую соцсеть для учеников, учителей и студентов «Агора» — тогда было 99 пользователей, около сотни SQL-миграций и куча энтузиазма. Статья неожиданно собрала 12 тысяч просмотров и почти 40 комментариев . Часть из них были просто добрыми словами, но был и один разбор — от PyXiion — на несколько экранов, по существу, без скидок на возраст. Отвечать на него сходу я тогда не стал, но за прошедшее время большая часть замечаний либо уже была исправлена, либо стала понятнее, почему сделано именно так. С тех пор проект вырос — не столько по пользователям (~160 человек, аудитория та же — учащиеся, педагоги, студенты), сколько по тому, что под капотом. Расскажу и про рост, и по порядку разберу, что из той критики было верным, а что — нет.

    Has anyone used #slyduck specifically for monitoring granular #supabase status as it relates to a specific project? I tried setting it up and it fails to connect to either Github or Supabase properly, and they aren't responding to support emails so I was curious if there was a better suggestion. Given Supabase woes and how noisy their status page can be, I want focussed and specific status alerts if there is an issue about to impact my users.

    The fix is a 13-word clause in a CREATE VIEW statement. PostgreSQL 15 added security_invoker = true, which makes the view run as the calling role instead of the owner. Without it, RLS doesn't apply. Your policy exists. The view bypasses it. #supabase #postgres

    Всем привет! Ранее мы разбирались с одним конкретным примером - Supabase: как его поставить, зачем он нужен, какие есть аналоги и почему вокруг него в последнее время так много шума. Но, мне кажется, что сейчас будет правильно сделать шаг назад и поговорить не про конкретный сервис, а про весь BaaS (Backend-as-a-Service). Как мы уже узнали из прошлой статьи, Supabase не возник сам по себе, до него был Firebase, а до Firebase были обычные самописные API, куча настроек авторизации, хранения файлов, нотификаций с вебсокетами и остального. В этой статье мы разберем, что такое BaaS, почему он вообще понадобился, чем Firebase отличается от Supabase, для каких приложений такой подход подходит, а где уже нужен собственный backend.
