The Sun in H-Alpha light, 30 august 2024.
On that day, the main feature was a series of some prominences, mostly on the western solar limb where, looking at the biggest ones, pareidolia could show a gazelle, a tree and a crab.
AR 3807 was playing with its plasma tentacles.
On the south eastern limb, a small arc shaped prominence, while the active region AR 3806 and the nearby filaments were moving towards the center of the solar disc.

On Sunday it was 8 years to the day since I photographed the biggest solar #prominence I've ever seen. It was 100,000 km tall & that tiny dot is the approximate size of Earth to scale. Taken with a #CoronadoPST + Canon 1100D with 2x Barlow #Sun #SolarImaging #SuninHAlpha #Chromosphere #SolarFeatures
